Bravo, again, David! I purchased the new “C” bell (015) from David at the shop this summer, on a whim, while picking up my repaired Loree oboe #OH09. I immediately heard subtle acoustic differences in the timbre and overtones with my oboe.
I am NOT one to look for a “quick fix” for little intonation issues with Lorees, but darned if it didn’t feel more stable on the middle F#-G, and more homogenous on low C-C#-B. It “smoothed out” some equalities that I have always “voiced” to correct on all my Lorees.
Fascinating, and worth the money. I would suggest trying a few different “flavors” with your own horn to determine the best match.
